Since installing version 2.1 of WordPress I’ve came across a few weird bugs. Not being able to delete posts and pages is one - the only way that I can do it is by disabling JS in FireFox and then deleting the page or post. Which, you know, is a pain in the arse. Not being able to add new categories is an other. I’m the only user, I’m an admin and yet I don’t have permission to do anything to my settings. It is extremely annoying to be honest.
The one that I’m having problems with just now however is displaying my WinAmp generated playlist. It’s just not happening. I can display text, but as soon as I paste straight from a .txt document nothing appears. Anybody have any idea why?
That is all. I’m going to make Doctor Who cookies in the shape of Daleks. Coz I rock.
Long story short: If you downloaded WordPress 2.1.1 within the past 3-4 days, your files may include a security exploit that was added by a cracker, and you should upgrade all of your files to 2.1.2 immediately.
Also, I suggest that you read this post and update your WP install as soon as possible if you’ve recently updated to V2.1.1.

Well, there were some minor bug fixes in 2.1.1/2.1.2…
I’ve been able to delete posts and pages just fine, so I have no idea what you’re talking about.
Maybe do a plugin check? Go down the list deactivating each one and see if its any one plugin that’s being a butthead. I had problems with plugin compatibility majorly after I upgraded to 2.1, so that’s my best guess.

Which is exactly why I usually don’t upgrade until final releases are available. …or until the program chews me out repeatedly. Rare for the latter.

Hm, that doesn’t happen to me :\ Maybe it’s a plugin problem, as Deanna Marie said.

Nope, not any of my plugins I’ve already checked that one out. There’s a few posts about this issue in the WP support forums with no obvious answer.
Achwell, thanks for your suggestion though.

I didn’t upgrade to the WP 2.1.1 so I didn’t encounter these problems. From 2.1 I went straight to 2.1.2. I wonder what was up with the problems.
Hopefully you’ll be able to sort that out soon!
