computers, holidays and memes - oh my!
As well as having a website to get up and running next week for a guy who works next to my mum I also have to fix his computer. The drives aren’t getting power, so I know how to fix it. It’s just that when I tried to last night it just would not work. At all. The IDE cables were in right, the master/slave setting s were set right but no cookies for Mel. It just wouldn’t recognize the drives. Ohwells.
I have the whole of next week off! This has worked out so well. I’m day shift on Saturday, back shift on Sunday then off Monday-Thursday. Day shift on Friday and then off ’til Monday at 4pm. It’s amazingly good.

- I take my job far too seriously. In the short few months that I’ve been a supervisor I’ve taken over doing the fruit & veg dept., re-organized the chillers so that all the dinner products are together, all the lunch stuff’s together, all the breakfast stuff’s together etc. I’ve also made up order sheets and made all the supervisors in-trays.
- I go to sleep with my mascara on and wake up looking like a panda.
- Even although I know that I’m not allowed to smoke in the house, I still do it when my mother’s at work. I am a bad, bad person!
- Nothing beats a cigarette, slice of toast and a huge mug of coffee or hot chocolate in the morning. It’s becoming my ritual to have it about 8am in work once I’ve done all the morning stuff. Toast or toffee cream do-nuts.
- I have a huge obsession with Doctor Who, but not as much as my boyfriend who has loads of the DVDs and toys. He has: 3 Rose figures, a few Daleks, K-9, The Doctor in in space suit (from The Impossible Planet / The Satan Pit), The Doctor in his suit & Converse, Captain Jack Harkness, The TARDIS , 2x Cybermen and Cassandra with her robotic spiders and is planning on getting The Ood and Clockwork Man at some point too!
- I spend far too much money on clothes that a)i can’t afford and b)don’t bloody well need
- I’ve been making websites since I was about 12, and started off on expages.com and as a member of GirLand.com and was top of the members board for points for a looooong time. How sad
- I check my email (both work and personal) about 10 times a day. And I always have mail, even although I don’t need to improve the size of my penis…
- I would walk in bare feet to the end of world just to make my boyfriend happy. He means so much to me and I hate it when we fight, but we’re both very stubborn and passionate people so we do end up fighting at least once a month :(
- I must be really boring, because I’m struggling to think of a 10th entry
