Like the post title says, I’ve left my course to the last minute. I’ve left buying a printer and scanner/photocopier to the last minute. I’ve left looking over my bosses’ notes from last years couse to the last minute. Argh.

I’ve had five weeks to complete this module. In those five weeks I’ve had 10 full days off, plus plenty of days where I’ve been working back shift so could on it during the day. I’ve done nothing but type and look up the National Lottery and Camelot websites but it’s still not done. So now I have until 10am on Wednesday morning to complete it, since that’s when my workgroup starts at the office. I’ve only writen about 50 pages, with an addition 20 as evidence. That’s only 70 pages which seems like nothing compared to the example folder which we were shown. I hope I haven’t screwed up, I want this so, so badly.

Plus my mum ordered an all in one printer for me from an store who offered next business day delivery. It should have been delivered today but the ’s not even come out of her account yet. I doubt very much that I’ll get it tomorrow which means I’ll have to go to PC World on the bus, buy a massive all-in-one printer and come home on the bus with it. Not looking forward to that. Especially since the company that she’s bought me one from seem to be complete scam artists. She checked them out before she put through her order but only on Kelkoo and Pricerunner. It seems that the company themselves has written the on these sites making them out to be excellent. It’s only when I went on a scout around to find their phone number that I came across other websites full of complaints and horror stories about them.

I’ve already complained to Kelkoo about them promoting a bogus company (which they are..they trade under three different names with three different phone numbers but are all registered to the one building, whose post code is wrong on all their websites) who rip off customers. I tried called each number I found, only to be cut off after 30-45 minutes without even talking to somebody. They’ve not replied to an email sent over 15 hours ago and now I’m pissed off.

May I scream now?

I have never really been interested in having pretty jewellery, instead going for the cheap and cheerful costume jewellery from Topshop and Primark route. That was until the boyfriend started buying me jewellery! I know have a gorgeous collection of silver earrings, bangles, rings and necklaces which are simple and understated, but suit me to a tee. The problem now is that I have too much of the stuff (granted, a girl can never have enough jewellery) and I’ve been looking for a pretty jewellery box to store them safely.

After much looking around the shops I finally found a great website with extremely pretty jewellery boxes and Handmade Jewellery! Handmade Jewellery boxes from elementjewellery.com I’ve decided on buying this silk box, a bargain at just £42. It’s certainly large enough to store all my jewels safely and fits in with the colour scheme of my bedroom perfectly.

The only problem with surfing elementjewellery.com (I love the options to browse by type or collection) is that now I quite fancy some new earrings and necklaces to add to my collection. I can’t have my new box looking empty now, can I? I wonder if I drop enough hints that that boyfriend will buy me a pair of Entwine silver earrings? They’re only £30 but look a lot more expensive…plus they’d go with my new dress perfectly.

I only wish that the boyfriend wore jewellery as they have a men’s section too. Or maybe he can buy me an engagement ring from the …I’m sure with prices like theirs that they’ll still be up and running when hell freezes over!

The sun is shining

Tomorrow is going to be a crazy one in . We are stocktaking, which means me, the boss and our area manager stay in the stop after we close (10pm) to download the guns to the computer and then check any discrepencies. We’ve done this 3 times before and been lucky to leave by 2am!

Stocktaking isn’t actually too bad in its self, it’s just that there is so much stock in our shop that everybody needs to at least a couple of hours tomorrow and do nothing but count. At least it’s all done by computers and scanners. I would not like to stocktake manually. That sounds horrendous.

Obviously I want this stocktake to go well, if we can account for nearly all of the stock that we’ve bought into the store the manager & supervisors get an additional bonus which is always nice. Saying that, we have been hit by a lot of shoplifters recently despite my heroic antics trying to stop them.

I got my first payment from yesterday. Granted it was only £2.40 or something but it’s nice to see some cash in my PayPal account. I have an other payment from them today for $12 but I can’t accept it, I keep getting a 404 which is rather annoying. I just want my . I’ve emailled their support team so I’m just waiting for them to sort it out for me.

I’m also looking to sell a few clothes and books on eBay, or even just via message boards, just to raise some extra cash for my lessons. One thing I’ve realised about having to go to H.O every month is that I’m going to loose hours. They cannot pick me up at the shop so I either have to make my own way there or meet somebody from an other shop and get a lift with them, so it ends up that there’s no point me going to first thing in the morning since I’ll need to leave as soon as I get there to go all the way back to the office. Not that I’m complaining about a lie in every fourth Wednesday, in fact today I took a half day since I’m owed hours.

It was such a great day to take a half day aswell! The sun is still shining and I have caught the sun quite nicely on my face and chest area. Makes a change from me being milk bottle white, I’m now slightly burned. I’m thinking about going up to the shops to buy cigarettes and jumping into the sunbeds for a quick 3 minute session just to intensify any colouring I got today. Although knowing my luck I’ll end up looking like a lobster.

I got love for you

Since it’s the middle of the month, it’s time for my oh-so-awesome playlist suggestions. If you’ve missed this before on either of my other blogs (hell, you think I’m giving out the ? Go find them!) it’s simply me posting my top songs that I’ve been listening to this month with a short reason why I think you should check them out. They could be old songs, new songs, album songs, b-sides. Whatever. I love my and I love sharing.

Oh-So-Awesome Playlist August 2007

Calvin HarrisAcceptable in the 80’s
This song is wonderfully electro and..well, 80s. I have a liking for Calvin Harris just because he’s also Scottish but man that guy makes good . He’s been linked with Kylie Minogue, so that just shows how good he is in bed at making.
Acceptable In The 80’s is a feel good dancing song, guaranteed to get you up on the dance floor! Written and produced by Harris, before he slapped in to BMG Records to stick their name to it, it’s proof that there are still great musicians out there in the chaos of manufactured bands who all bring out the same sort of tracks. A definite Friday night song.

Mika - Big Girl (you are beuatiful)
I don’t care what anybody says, when a Mika song comes on you sing along, even if you don’t like him. This has to be my favourite Mika song by miles. Don’t ask me why, it’s probably because it’s not old enough to be as overplayed as ‘Grace Kelly’ or ‘Love Today’. It’s a real feel-good song, and not just for ‘big girls’. At last, a famous person who embraces the non-size 0 world - even if he is as skinny as a lolly pop!

Rhianna - Umbrella (Sensation White version)
Again, I don’t like Sensation White (dance festival-thingy) but this version of Umbrella is the best one that I’ve heard. Somehow, making the ‘Ella, ella, ella’ bit last long works bloody well and gets your feet tapping. Dude, if you only listen to one other version of ‘Umbrella’, make it this one.

Reverand & the Makers - He Said He Loved Me
Classic Brit-Indie. I was convinced the first time that I heard this song that it was somehow interrelated to Franz Ferdinand. Alas, no. Reverend is from Sheffield, England. And is actually boringly called Jon McClure. I can’t explain this song very well, you’ll just have to listen to it. Especially if you like Franz Ferdinand, Artic Monkeys or anyother Brit-Indie band.

Newton Faulkner - People Should Smile More
If you haven’t heard of Newton Faulkner, what rock have you been under? Granted his maybe a bit folky, but it’s amazing. This is my favourite song off of his album because it reminds me of an advert for ‘Orange’ mobile phones. Total chill out . Great for Sunday mornings.

Groove Armada ft Mutya Beuna - Song for Mutya
Ex-Sugababes stunner, Mutya Buena, has teamed up with Groove Armada to come up with one of the best songs of the summer. Question is, is the song directed at the Sugababes or an ex-boyfriend? Great for the pop-lover you know you really are.

Have I missed a great song? What have you been listening to this month?

Funds=Wages-£150.

On Saturday I went shopping as planned and spent a good whack of in a few, short hours.

The boyfriend and I hit the shops in the early afternoon and by 5pm we were done and about £150 down! I did manage to buy quite a lot though, including a gorgeous Chocolate Java Chip Frappe from Starbucks. I think I maybe obsessed with them. Other purchases included a hot pink swing jacket from Primark, a cream tunic dress with green and brown leaf pattern (ouch, that sounds disgusting but it’s lovely), a brown belt with a huge bronze star buckle, 2 necklaces and a pair of earrings, a pair of black slouch pirate boots, new socks and pants and a lovely jacket for my boyfriend.

I also bought Katie Prices’ (AKA Jordan) new book, Crystal, which is really quite good. I didn’t believe that she could write but I take that back! It’s a good book, typically chick-lit but a nice read all the same. Watch out for a review sometime soon.

Before I goto this evening I’m going to go and get a copy of my birth certificate and the form for getting my provisional drivers licence. I’m fed up with taking the bus everywhere so I’m on a mission to be legally by Christmas. Especially now that we might be changing the rota in so that myself and the other supervisor never an evening shift again. That is awesome, but it also means that I’ll be working 4 day shifts a week and that means waiting for a bus at 6am and then getting an other one at 6.25am to get to . Which is not in winter, as you can imagine.

Sweet smell of money

I really should stop looking at websites for clothing and accessories. Ever since I started looking for a winter jacket I’ve done nothing but check out other things I can buy on Saturday when I go shopping. One thing that I have decided on is perfume. I’ve been wearing Red Jeans since I was about 15, and Victoria Beckham - Intimately Beckham since April. As much as I adore them both I fancy something different.

I love Hugo Boss - Deep Red, but for me that’s more a ‘going out’ perfume and I want a ‘wear to ’ perfume. There’s a perfume that I used to wear constantly called ‘Anna Sui EDT’ by Anna Sui but it’s no longer made and I’m gutted. It was an amazing perfume, I can still smell it now even though I’ve not worn it for around 5 years. The bottle was very pretty too. I’ve tried out other Anna Sui fragrances but I don’t really like them, they mostly smell very sweet to me.

I’ve heard good things about ‘Be Delicious’ by DKNY, but everybody’s wearing that these days. I want to stand out from the crowd, which is why I went through a phase of wearing Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab scents, especially ‘White Rabbit’, which is a mix of ’strong black tea and milk with white pepper, ginger, honey and vanilla, spilled over the crisp scent of clean linen’, sounds completly mad but it was to die for! I also liked ‘Alice’ which is ‘Milk and honey with rose, carnation and bergamot’ - I obvioulsy have a thing about the smell of milk…even though I don’t drink the stuff!

What perfume do you wear from day-to-day? Give me ideas!

Full Metal Jacket

I am so happy that I get paid tomorrow. Not because I’m desperate for the , I’m not for a change, but because I want to splash out on a new jacket since it’s getting colder every day. Top Shop Jacket My believing was that it was August and I was still waiting for summer to start, not that I should be going out to buy a new winter coat. My problem with winter coats is that I get far too to quickly, so I buy a cheap one. Then I need to buy an other one a few months later because the one I have is falling apart / no longer in fashion / I’ve changed my mind about it.

I’ve check around and I quite fancy this one from TopShop. It’s £75, which is a good price in my mind for a great jacket that should last me through to February. Saying that, I’ll have a new one by December, you mark my words.

What do you think? Buy the semi-expensive one that I can just about afford, or go with a cheap Primark or New Look jacket that will cost me half of that amount?

Agh, can’t decide!

Around three weeks ago my boyfriend’s mum told us that Marilyn Manson was playing again. Since I couldn’t find it I didn’t believe her, but he is!

I can’t wait for Friday so that I can buy my tickets. Such a shame it’s in the same venue as last time as it wasn’t that great but I’m so, so excited! I love Manson with a passion, I don’t care if people think I’m freaky for liking him. The ’s awesome and some of the lyrics that he writes are out-of-this-world amazing.

Roll on December. Oh and for all those who disklie Marilyn Manson because he’s ‘freaky’, then listen to this song called Last Day On Earth. It’s gorgeous, sad, powerful, heart moving and angry all at the same time;

I know it’s the last day on Earth,
We’ll be together while the planet dies.
I know it’s the last day on Earth,
We’ll never say goodbye.

And the dogs slaughter each other softly,
Love burns it’s casualties,
We are damaged provider modules,
Spill the seeds at our children’s feet.
I’m so empty here without you…
I know they want me dead.

EuroMillions Luck

The winner of Britain’s largest Lotto win, £35.4 million lives in my town! Lucky, lucky, lucky…why couldn’t have been me? My boyfriend had three numbers and won £8!
