Going to party like it’s 1950
Posted in Uncategorized on September 5th, 2007 by admin – CommentsSo tomorrow is our 50th birthday party in the shop and I can’t wait, even if I’m a bit peeved off at work. You can read about it if you are a member of Lavish, since I’ve posted it there instead of here just because of privacy reasons.
Anyway, we finally got our raffle / tombola prizes sorted;
- 3 cakes donated by the baker who supplies us fresh cakes
- a meal for two in the local pub
- a voucher for the local butchers
- a half bottle of whisky
- a half bottle of vodka
- 2x bottle of Lambrini and two pairs of PrettyPolly Lambrini tights
- Tropicana tennis balls
- set of 6 Kronenburg 1/2 pint glasses
- hamper with 6 mugs, teabags, coffee, sugar, biscuits and jam
- keyrings
- kids toys (JCB digger hats, ragdolls etc that we sold over summer)
- Bud Silver 8 packs
We’re also giving out ballons, birthday cake, sweets and diluting juice to the kids and wine taste and chocolate fountain and marshmallows/fruit for the adults as well as a ‘guess the weight of the birthday cake’ compition and asking for general donations for the charity we’re raising money for - Children 1st. I’m hoping to raise at least £500, but anything will be amazing. We’re also all dressing up, as I’ve previously mentioned, in Grease & 50s getup. I’m dreading that bit…
