So, it appears that I’ve jumped on a bandwagon late again and signed up to Entrecard. I’m not in it for the benefits, I’m in it because I’m nosy!
January 17th was mine and the boy’s five year anniversary together. Half a decade, nearly a quarter of my life. Great and scary all at the same time. It was spent with me having to stay late at work due to being the only person who could use the CCTV and the police needed a copy of a accident in the car park. By the time I got to the boy’s house he was crashed out in bed and I couldn’t wake him up! I spent the night online while he slept… oh how romantic are we?
Friday was spent with an argument about..uh, can’t remember. But my god we hurled some abuse and nastiness at each other - I even slapped him. Oops! Friday night we headed to our mates house and had an absolute blast and then came home and made up for Thursday night. And Saturday? More arguing. This time over a toy Brain Freeze / Slush Puppy machine that he had bought when he headed out to the shops. Fighting over the instructions, how much ice to use, what to put in it…after all the shouting the ice had melted anyway and it didn’t even work. Well seeing I have PMT.
Now it’s early Sunday morning and I’m sitting online, occasionally going back to playing Tony Hawks Downhill Jam on the Wii. I’ve been playing it on and off all day and I’ve nearly completed it with one character.
And all I really want is a cuddle.
I’ve been a Firefox convert since around 2000. Obviously over the past 8 years I’ve picked up tips and tricks to use Firefox to it’s full potential - question is, are you?
- 1. Use the middle button of your mouse (yep, the scroll button) to click on links. This will open the link in a new tab automatically
- 2. Right click on any search box (like the one in the right hand column) and select “Add a keyword for this search”. Give it a name and keyword and then you can search that site via your address bar by typing keyword <search string>. I.e - google britney spears
- 3. Pressing
CTRLand+orCTRLand-will increase or decrease the font size. Set back to normal text size withCTRLand0 - 4. Press
/and type to find text in the tab that’s open - 5. Install Colourful Tabs Plugin for a prettier UI
- 6. Complete web addresses easily and quickly. Type in the domain name you wish to browse to, i.e. google and then press
CTRLandENTERto auto add .com,SHIFTandENTERfor .net andCTRLandSHIFTandENTERfor .org - 7.
CTRLandSHIFTandTwill re-open the last closed tab.Press again for the tab before that..and again for the one before that and so on.
What are your favorite Firefox tips and tricks?

New Year, new theme. I’m currently messing about with the latest free them from Design Disease, since I’m becoming one of the laziest web designers (I say that, I mean coder!) in history.
Site’s live, but there may be a few errors here and there while I iron out some problems. Like fixing the sub-navigation.
I don’t know if it will be picked to be published, but this is my entry for BehindEveryBlog.com, the website that focuses on the author of the blog!
- Who was your very first crush?
I believe that it was Henry Ramsey from Neighbours (AKA Craig McLachlan), although looking back at pictures now I have to wonder why! I liked him that much that I named my pet rabbit after him, even though she was a girl. She quickly became Henrietta though! Thankfully, my taste in men has changed a heck of a lot since I was 4 years old! - If you could undo one thing from the last 24 hours, what would it be and why?
Probably going to bed before 8am this morning, as I’m now not tired even though I need to sleep for work in the morning. Unfortunately, it’s a theme that seems to occur every weekend these days…staying up all night and sleeping all day. It’s playing havoc with my body! - In the room you’re in right now, pick out your most treasured item (your computer, people and pets don’t count). What makes it so special?
Since people don’t count, I guess that I can’t pick my boyfriend! My most treasured item in this room (said boyfriend’s bedroom) is either going to be my brand new digital camera - which I love with a passion and seem to be taking more and more pictures every day - or our Nintendo Wii, if only because I rock at driving games and it makes me want to pass my driving test even more than standing at a bus stop at 6am every day in the pouring rain! - You’re given $500 to spend for a good cause. Assuming you actually have to spend the money rather than donate it to charity, what would you buy, and what would you do with it?
. I think I would find the lovely man who stands outside the shopping center in my town selling the Big Issue and take him on a shopping spree to buy warm, waterproof clothing and boots. And a pack of cigarettes and a nice warm cup of tea. He stands outside for around 10 hours a day, opening doors for people and trying to sell the magazine. He deserves to be warm and dry! - What’s a quick pick-me-up?
A Starbucks Java Chip Frappe and a newspaper to read, lounging on the big floppy sofas at the front of the shop, watching people walking by. - What made you start a blog?
I honestly cannot remember, it was that long ago. My first websites started as a base to share cartoon dolls and music lyrics (hey, I was 12 and it was 1998!). From there I progressed to writing into a LiveJournal account and then changing my websites from rubbish content sites to an actual blog. I think I just wanted to be cool!!
So, I’ve spent the day in bed feeling a little hung-over and browsing the internet - well, clicking Stumble on my toolbar every few minutes and laughing. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been using StumbleUpon for a while but today it just seems a lot funnier. Here’s my picks of today’s Stumble-athon.
- How To Make Pancakes Like a Crack Head - a new use for your junk paraphernalia!
- LP Sleeve Faces - why have I not thought of this before? Classic use for LP sleeves.
- Google having a laugh, surely not?
- Google Earth has some interesting images, including massive Ford and Mozilla logos
- Glaswegians tell Bono like it is
- And this is why young girls have no self-esteem, a before and after look at a magazine cover photograph.
- Corporate logos Web2.0-ified
What’s the best finds you’ve found on StubmleUpon??
So, 2008. A new year that was brought in by me in the front bedroom of a 4 bed terraced house, having a threesome. Well, lying on top of my boyfriend with our best mate jumping on top of us, causing much pain and laughing. Fully clothed may I add. Much fun though! See, our friend had a party. It was boring. So we went up stairs to sit and smoke, drink and talk; forgetting that it was nearly midnight. We only realized that it was 2008 when we heard shouting and fireworks. Ohwell, a fun night had by all anyway!
I will have photographs to post when I can be bothered uploading them, I’m going to watch Top Gear.
What did you get up to at New Year?
