When it gets to this time on a work night (2.41am) and I’m still awake I know there is no point trying to get some sleep in before I need to get up for work. I’ll feel worse after just 3 hours sleep than if I just stay awake and drink some coffee before heading out the door.
So, what can I do for three hours instead of sleeping? I’ve re-tagged every single music file on my computer and hard drives, I’ve synced my iPod with the updates and now I’m at a loss. There’s not much happening on the message boards that I frequent and StumbleUpon is getting a bit repeatative.
How can I have the world at my fingertips and be so damn bored?

Only kidding! Its just an online quiz that I have done.
I am so Web 2.0, O’Reilly would be proud of me. Saying that there were only about 4 questions so it’s not really that hard! How Web 2.0 are you, eh?
PS anyone know any good quiz sites? I’m still bored.

I don’t think that I have had a more boring day in my whole entire life. All day I’ve tidied up my room, washed clothes (4 washes!!), dried said clothes outside and ironed for about 2 hours. I don’t know how many cups of tea, coffee and Green&Black’s hot chocolate I’ve drank either but i am now running on pure caffine.
And now I can’t sleep and theres nothing on my Virgin Teleport to watch. Somebody make me less bored please.

I am so happy that I get paid tomorrow. Not because I’m desperate for the money, I’m not for a change, but because I want to splash out on a new jacket since it’s getting colder every day.
My believing was that it was August and I was still waiting for summer to start, not that I should be going out to buy a new winter coat. My problem with winter coats is that I get far too bored to quickly, so I buy a cheap one. Then I need to buy an other one a few months later because the one I have is falling apart / no longer in fashion / I’ve changed my mind about it.
I’ve check around and I quite fancy this one from TopShop. It’s £75, which is a good price in my mind for a great jacket that should last me through to February. Saying that, I’ll have a new one by December, you mark my words.
What do you think? Buy the semi-expensive one that I can just about afford, or go with a cheap Primark or New Look jacket that will cost me half of that amount?
Agh, can’t decide!

Last Wednesday I attended our company’s head office to (finally, may I say) begin my Management Training Course. It was a chance for the 8 of us on the course to meet each other, meet the two ladies who are running it properly, ask any questions and generally find out more about the course. All the four hours did for me was get me very, very excited about it!
We got our first section - The National Lottery, which we have 4 weeks to complete - or at least try to complete. So far I’ve completed 90% of the questions and found about 25% of the evidence required to back up the answers. It’s taken me hours to complete so far, there is a hell of a lot of work involved in it. Not only writing up answers and whatnot but finding the answers. Most of them are simple - ‘Where does your pound go after you buy your ticket? - but prooving the answers? Not hard as such, but it involves thinking.
I’m doing a lot of graphs, flowcharts and taking/drawing a lot of pictures of various Lotto-related things in the shop. The amount of paper and toner for my printer I’ve used so far is astronomical, but it’s worth it.
I just hope that I can keep up the enthusiasm for this course, not that I think I’ll get bored of it, but because I am determined to show that I could run a shop even though I’m only 21. It’s been my dream since I was knee-high and I’ve already proved myself within the company. I’ve only been working in SPAR for a year but already I’m a full time supervisor on a training course to become a manager, which I am ultimately proud of.

My weekend at T In The Park was certainly an interesting one. After starting to queue for the bus at Buchanan Bus Station at just after noon, we finally got onto a rickety old double decker bus at about 3.45pm. In that time I managed to smoke around 10 cigarettes, mainly out of pure boredom. One of my friends got booked for smoking a joint and having some weed on him, the idiot. It made me laugh though!
It turns out that we were on the bus to Balado for..7 hours. It’s only 44miles from Glasgow to Balado and 50% of that is either a motorway or an A/B road. We completly missed the Friday night’s bands, which was shit. I really wanted to see Lily Allen and The Artic Monkeys. Still I could see the NME/Radio 1 stage and the big wheel from the window of the bus for about 2 hours. I should have just gotten off and walked. On the bus I managed to smoke a further 20 cigarettes and eat 3 bags of sweets and a packet of cookies. It’s a good job that I did because my gosh I needed the energy. The bus dropped us off at the opposite end of the arena from the campsite entrance, at least 2 miles away. We had to walk the rest, through inches and inches of mud with huge backpacks and camping chairs. Amusingly, our friend fell head first into the mud which was one of the funniest things that I’ve ever seen.
Once we actually got to the entrance to the campsite we very nearly turned back and got my mum to come & pick us up - the campsite was in even more mud and there was absolutely no where to pitch a tent! And the fact that Scott have wandered off with the 6 man tent didn’t really help much, it meant that Craig had to sleep in mine & the boy’s 2 man tent that night. Eh, just what I wanted. Obviously couldn’t let him sleep out in the cold though. I found the smallest space to put the tent up and sat smoking and really needing to pee while the boys put it up. I wasn’t even going to attempt to go to the Portaloos at 1 in the morning so left it til morning…
Even although I didn’t get to bed until about 2am I was up at the crack of dawn due to the sun blaring through my side of the tent and turning it into an oven. The boys went to find Scott at the welfare tent and to find somewhere to pitch their tent. While they were away I made breakfast (noodles and stockcubes) and attempted to go to the toilet. As soon as I stepped into the portaloo I suddenly didn’t need to go any more. It was the most disgusting thing that I have ever smelt and seen. Usually I’m ok with the toilet situation at TITP but my god it was nasty.
On the Saturday the only band I saw really was The Killers, who were bloody fantastic. I think I may love Brandon Flowers, he’s so energetic on stage. On the Sunday I managed to see The Fratellis, Scissor Sisters, Just Jack and Queens Of The Stoneage.
Oh..my writing mood has run out. I’ll write more about my weekend soon.
