The WordPress one wins by far, though.

For some reason I want a new camera. I’ve been using a Samsung D75 point-and-shoot since the boyfriend bought me it for Christmas but I want something bigger and better, which is always the way with me.
Since every single person I know online pretty much uses a DSLR I want to jump on the pretty picture bandwagon and get myself one. I’ve always been one for keeping up with the Jones’ and my 7.2MP camera just isn’t cutting it, either that or I’m just incredibly rubbish at taking pictures. Example of a picture taken earlier today when out walking the dog (yes, seriously. I need better things to take pictures of rather than the dog or flowers).
Yuck, the settings were a bit screwed up but goddamn I want clear and lovely pictures!
I’ve been scouring eBay and I think I’ve found a camera I really want, but I want to know what you guys think first. It’s a Canon Digital EOS 400D and it’s £150 on Canon’s Refurb store. Is this a good camera at a good price? I’m mainly using my PayPal savings to purchase this camera which has accumulated over the past few months due to blogging about the best diet pills on the internet and such, so I have a budget of around £150 for my purchase.
If you have any recommendation at all for good cameras or great sites to buy one from please let me know so I don’t waste my money on a rubbish camera again.

I can’t believe that I’m counting down the hours until Doctor Who.
I’m such a diehard fan girl, I really am. Last week’s episode had me in tears and complete ‘OMG!!! for about 3 hours after it finished.
Of course, the first thing that I did was hit all the DW communities that I’m part of to discuss the episode and all the possibilities and theories surrounding the episode which just got me even more hyper.
In case you’ve not seen it, I won’t go into details but all I can say is that the hand will save the day. Whovians will know what I’m talking about! Trust me, it’s all about the hand.
I downloaded loads of Doctor Who music remixes and fansongs the other day to tide me over to tonight’s episode but when I tried transferring them onto my iPod I realised that I need more laptop memory, because my poor wee Acer kept konking out on me. I’ve got a funny feeling that it’s just Vista being it’s usual crap self, if I put more than 50 songs into iTunes at once it’d crash on me. Uh, hello? I have around 100,000 files to put in iTunes. That’s going to take me while dude. But more memory can never be a bad thing. The computer I’m on just now (the boyfriends - he’s passed out on the bed, fully clothed after yet an other rather drunken night) has 4GB of memory and I’m running a zillion and one things and it’s fine. Saying that, this is running XP too. Don’t care what anyone says, XP Pro is a thousand times better than Vista will ever be.
So, only 8 hours til Doctor Who Series 4 finale, and I can’t wait. I’m going to read my new Who book that I bought last weekend til it’s on. And then cry a lot I think.

I’m going to rearrange it, throw out everything that I don’t need anymore (like 8 year old nail varnish, anyone?) and sell anything that’s still in good nick and people will find useful, like my old Dell Inspiron for spares & repairs only mind because it’s wrecked.
I can also see all my books being sold, they’re threatening to take over my room at the moment, as well as clothes. I have so many but can never find anything to wear. I’ve been to Oxfam 4 times so far this year and yet I still keep finding more clothes lying around…not to mention that bags and bags of my stuff that’s at the boyfriends house.
Right, enough blogging - I’m going to tidy. Anything to take my mind off the fact I’m not smoking and have a horrid pain in my lungs :/

Over the course of the last few weeks I’ve come to the conclusion that I am absolutely terribly bad at designing websites. Which is a problem, because it’s one of my great loves. I spend a great deal of time reading about great web design and think ‘Oh, that’s so obvious. What an easy way to do that’. I am full of ideas but when it comes to mocking them in PhotoShop I fall dead.
I’m not artistic. I’m creative, yes. But arty in anyway? I failed S1 art and design for goodness sakes! I can see in my head exactly how I want a layout (I’m old skool, layout is better than theme) to end up but I just cant turn that thought into graphics.
What I can do however, is code. I can code my heart out for hours on end and my limits are valid XHTML, CSS and basic WordPress template tags. I don’t do other languages, I’ve never learned. Which seems silly now, I’d love to be able to write plugins and things for WordPress but I’ll admit that PHP goes over my head a bit.
So, in a round about way - I know this theme sucks. But I’m working on it.

I have had the busiest two weeks, ever. All I seem to have done is sleep for 6 hours, go to work for nearly 10, come home and watch some TV or bake a cake (more on this later) and then fall asleep again. Ugh!
I think that work has been so crazy because we’ve had visits coming up and for some reason all three of us (manager, other supervisor and me) have been in working moods - hey, anything to make sure sales are up and we get a bonus! - which doesn’t happen very often. Don’t get me wrong, we do everything that we’re meant to but usually one of us is hyper or something and starts suggesting hauling everything off shelves and washing them. Gosh, that makes the shop sound dirty and it’s not!
Typical, I’m off work for the weekend and I’m blogging about it. Must stop that.
Anyway, I have discovered that I can bake. From scratch. Using flour and eggs and butter. Seriously. I am so impressed with this considering I can burn pasta. Over the past few weeks I’ve make cupcakes, tray bakes and cakes. I’m especially good at making coffee cake. Two slabs of coffee flavoured sponge cake, one with sultanas through it and held together with cinnamon icing. If I could remember the recipe I’d post it, but I sort of just make it up as I go along!
So since I’m oh-so-good at baking I’m making the boyfriend a cake for his birthday which is next month. Anyone with any great recipes or ideas please let me know.

I really shouldn’t be sitting online munching a lot of sweets considering the boyfriend’s on his way back with my lunch, a nice healthy Burger King!
My body’s all confused because the clock’s went forward this morning, the computer says 16.49 (right), the alarm clock says 15.49 and my body says it’s about 11.00 since I was up half the night!
Oh, and by the way weather system? It’s spring now. So stop with the rain and snow please?
